The Red Chair

There it is, bold and unapologetic, Thomas Heatherwick’s iconic red chair, glowing like a sculpture against the soft greens of the garden. I was drawn to the way its daring curves and vivid color transform the quietness of nature into something playful and alive. The chair doesn’t just sit; it twists, it dances, it invites you in. In painting it, I wanted to capture that dialogue between design and landscape, man-made form and organic growth. A conversation of contrasts that somehow feels perfectly at home.
