The Edge of Lake Trasimeno

This is one of those scenes that just stays with you. The stillness of the water, the soft ripple of light, and a single boat resting quietly on the bank. I came across this spot on a walk and knew immediately it was something I wanted to paint. There’s a calm there that’s hard to describe, but easy to feel. The boat doesn’t need to be moving; it just belongs, like it’s been there forever, soaking in the view. Moments like these remind me why I paint: to hold on to the simple beauty that often slips by unnoticed.
