I’ve always been drawn to rooftops. The quiet geometry of everyday life seen from above. In Italy, those roofs tell stories. The terracotta tiles, warmed by decades of sun, the soft shadows that drift across them as the day moves, and those old blue shutters. Slightly faded, but still proud.
When I painted this view, I wanted to capture that harmony between age and light. The mountains in the distance remind me how nature frames every human creation, how life in these towns flows effortlessly between stone and sky.
This piece is about stillness and warmth. The kind of beauty you only find when you stop, look out the window, and let the sun tell its story across the rooftops.
