The butterflies I paint are not like the ones you see in a biology textbook but my artistic interpretation. Over 100 million years, butterflies have evolved in specific ways, but the ones I paint differ to reflect the unique women I know in my life. Naomi is independent and sultry. She is a strong woman with a heart of gold. She welcomes her strength like a butterfly embracing the wind. She never stops reminding me that the potential for greatness is within us.
