There’s something about Italy that makes colors sing louder. The light there dances — on walls, on people, on every petal. When I painted this sunflower, I wasn’t just thinking of the flower itself, but of the Italian sun — bold, generous, impossible to ignore.
The sunflower feels to me like a symbol of joy and resilience. It turns toward the light, always. I wanted that spirit in this piece — movement, optimism, and a touch of Mediterranean warmth.
