I like to think of this one as a celebration of color and calm. The koi, with their pops of orange, red, and white, seem to float effortlessly against a cool, watery blue, and the soft pink flowers. There’s something cheerful and carefree about the way they move, like they’re dancing just under the surface. The whole painting has a lightness to it, like a sunny afternoon spent outdoors with nowhere else to be.
