Table with Watermelon

When studying art in the 1960s, I painted endless images of fruit still lives. I adored the idyllic, romanticized, and iconic still-life art, but I always felt as if I wanted more. Decades later, I developed a technique that allowed me to express my creativity through laser-cutting and more vibrant colors. I was delighted to return to these styles I learned so many years prior with a new eye, and finally, these still-lifes felt correct to me.
