I paint so many different types of people, oftentimes I paint people participating in sports like racing and swimming, but less frequently do I focus on those who do these activities just for fun. Sports are vibrant and captivating in so many ways, but so are those who participate in an activity just for the pure blissful joy of doing so. This fleeting moment of a woman diving into a pool was enchanting, this brief point in time bursting with energy. A second before she is fully immersed we get to see the playful patterns of her swimsuit, and her outstretched body breaking the surface of the pristine mirror-like water. It is a tiny juncture in time, and in another few seconds, the water will return to glass.
