Spirit of Freedom

Butterflies are nature's most magnificent works of art. They enrich our lives through their beauty, but unlike flowers in a vase, they cannot be captured and held in their lively state. They are free spirits, unrestricted by the forces of gravity, effortlessly gliding through the air. They provide endless inspiration for my work. The butterflies that make up this free spirit are not the true butterflies from nature or a biology textbook, but butterflies of my own imagination. Butterflies of every color and pattern that could possibly exist, each is its own unique spirit, exuberant, vibrant, and free.
