Graffiti Face III
I have taken elements of graffiti-styled art and have adapted them to create my own unique signature. I love the loose movements of the paints or spray cans and the visuals of tags overlapping and creating a density of colorful swirls and scribbles. It is similar to impressionism as it is not painting a true reflection of life, but catching the fleeting moment or expression. I usually refer to my own style as ‘graffiti,’ but in fact, it is more like free drawing. It is bold and symbolic and emotional. Here the face is neutral, without gender, without strong views, a pair of eyes ready to reflect the viewer, taking on the qualities of a sympathetic mirror.
