All of my art focuses on elements of joy, pleasure, freedom, and leisure. I want the viewer, as well as the subject, to experience a lifestyle of relaxation and pleasure. Similar to my bicycles I wanted to show a group of people interacting with one another while enjoying their sport. To me, the uniqueness of this piece comes in the contrast of the colors and patterns to the white fields of snow. This is what originally drew my eye to the subject matter, watching the smiling skiers in their bright-colored suits smiling at one another against the backdrop of a winter wonderland.
