I remember Nava from my childhood. She was one of the most gentle and serene cows on my grandparent’s dairy farm. She would stand idly while swatting the flies away with her tail. Her eyes were always peacefully shut, but you knew she was aware of her surroundings. Of all the animals I paint, cows have the most special place in my heart. Still today, I admire these animals and love to represent the cows from my childhood in my works.
