Burning Lips

When I think of lips, I think of our sensitivity when we touch something with our lips. It is a very particular feeling. It is soft and delicate, just like a butterfly's wings. I saw the butterfly's wings as a metaphor for human lips, so I created my version of nature’s butterfly for the first time in rendering this artwork. I wanted to express sensitivity, femininity, and romanticism using butterflies. I was surprised by the enthusiastic response to my butterflies.
