I once heard the expression “tulipmania” and before even looking up the definition I knew what it was all about. The most important and iconic flower in the Netherlands is the tulip, at one point in time, they were worth even more than gold for the Dutch. Now every time I place a bouquet of tulips into a vase of water I feel transported back to the days of tulipmania. This artwork is my love letter to the Dutch.
