5th Avenue O

My fascination with cities and crowds and the individuals that make them up has evolved over many years. From the first rendition of 5th Avenue to the twenty that have followed, the characters have significantly developed. They started as generic, cartoon-like figures, but now each one is a fully realized colorful individual reflecting one of the most diverse cities in the world. Just as people evolve, so does my art; my 5th Avenue series is an evolution of a world walking. One of my favorite stories hidden within the work is that of the two men in a deep embrace, hovering above the ground as if floating in their own bubble of love.
